Cancer Survivors benefited By Rasayana Therapy

Unknown Primary Cancer

At the age of 63 years, I was diagnosed with a strange type of cancer. The primary organ cannot be identified but the cancer had spread and deposited in my bones.  In October 2018, I developed pain in the left hip joint. On investigating, the doctors noted lesions in the Right shoulder blade bone, in the spine, and in both femur bones. The oncologist advised biopsy and the results showed a spread to bones from an unknown primary. My histopathology slides were reviewed by many expert histopathologists but no one could identify the primary site. This was a major hurdle to plan treatment. Without knowing the exact type of cancer, the chemotherapy could not be initiated. I underwent surgery in March 2019 to manage the pain. I refused other experimental cancer treatments and turned to Ayurveda for the management of cancer.

I was referred to Rasayu Cancer Clinic by one of my friends. I visited the clinic in April 2019 and asked Dr. Bendale this question, “How can you treat cancer where the primary is not known? “He replied, “The approach of treating cancer in Ayurveda by Rasayana therapy is different than that of conventional therapy. Rasayana therapy targets maintaining homeostasis and improves the strength of normal cells. This ultimately improves the overall immunity of the body and our own body then fights the cancer, it doesn’t matter if it is identified or not.” I was satisfied with his answer and approach.

I decided to start personalised Rasayana therapy. I noted that though Rasayu is giving me Ayurvedic medicines their protocol is according to modern oncologists. They repeat blood tests every 2 months and a PET CT scans every 6 months. My first post- Rasayana therapy PET CT scan (October 2019) showed complete resolution of previously seen lesions involving Right shoulder blade bone, femur bones. The lesions in the spine were somewhat active. Now I have a firm belief that if Rasayana therapy alone can show complete resolution within 6 months, it will also reduce residual tumors before my next scan.

After knowing about this report, I remembered the words of Dr. Bendale “It doesn’t matter if it has been identified or not’’.
