Cancer Survivors benefited By Rasayana Therapy

Testicular Cancer

In Feb 2015 I had a complaint of swelling over the right testicle associated with back pain, low-grade fever, and weight loss. The ultrasound indicated cancer like growth in my right testicle. The radiologist advised for biopsy. It was a cancer called Non-seminomatous germ cell tumor. I was shocked when I heard the word ‘Cancer’. At the age of 31 years, I was diagnosed with cancer. I had to move on and need to take practical decisions. I underwent surgery where oncosurgeon removed the right testicle. Post-surgery CT scan showed multiple enlarged lymph nodes in the abdomen.

My oncologist advised for 4 cycles of chemotherapy. There was some reduction noted in previously seen enlarged abdominal lymph nodes. In September 2015 I underwent another surgery and removed enlarged lymph nodes from my abdomen. Within 3 months oncologist noted an increased level of a tumor marker called beta HCG associated with tumor growth. Doctor expressed fear of reactivation of cancer. I was again advised 3 more cycles of chemotherapy. CT Scan in April 2016 suggested a decrease in the size of nodes again. But that did not nullify the risk of recurrence.

I was concerned about my future if the cancer kept recurring. I was convinced that I should opt for treatment which will act on the root cause. I started searching online. Then I came to know about Rasayu Cancer Clinic. In May 2016 I visited the clinic. Dr. Yogesh explained in detail about the role of Rasayana therapy in the prevention of cancer recurrence. He even explained the protocol of Rasayana therapy. As per protocol, I was supposed to do blood tests and tumor markers every 2 months and CT or PET CT scan half-yearly.

I completed the entire protocol of 18 months. During this period all my blood reports along with tumor markers came within normal limits. There was no growth in nodes as well. I was happy that cancer had not reactivated in that period. Now it was time to stop Rasayana therapy. As a cancer survivor, I can now say that if we want to prevent disease recurrence, then you have to choose a holistic approach. This includes changes in diet, regular exercise, stress management, yogasan, and pranayama. This collectively gives us protective cover and helps to delay disease recurrence. The risk of disease recurrence increases by several folds if you do not take efforts for the prevention of disease-free survival. Though there is no definitive treatment in cancer still we can do a lot with the help of Rasayana therapy and holistic approach.

Thank you soooooo much Rasayu.
