Neuroblastoma

It was only a couple of months after celebrating the first birthday of our princess, that, we got to know about a tumor of size more than 6 cm in her abdomen. We rushed to many oncologists. She went through series of investigations and finally it was confirmed that she had a cancer called Neuroblastoma. We were shattered and it was beyond imagination that one-year old innocent child could suffer from such a deadly disease. But we had to accept and move on. Top oncologist of India had advised a protocol for her. It was few rounds of chemotherapy to reduce the size of tumor and then surgery to remove it. It was very difficult for her to cope up with chemotherapy. We had to discontinue chemotherapy after 2nd cycle due to infection developed at port site. 

A CT scan was done that showed a reduction in main tumor. Liver lesions were also stable. She underwent surgery in Aug 2018. Surgeon could not remove entire tumor due to risk of damage to major blood vessel which was highly risky. Post-surgery CT scan was suggestive of residual tumor of size nearly 3 cm and two lesions in liver. They asked to follow up every three months.The risk of disease progression was constantly nagging me. At the same time, I was searching for least painful treatment option for my child. I came to know about Rasayu Cancer Clinic from one of my neighbours who was cancer survivor and treated successfully at Rasayu Cancer Clinic. He spoke very highly about Rasayu Cancer Clinic. With lot of hope, we visited Rasayu Cancer Clinic in Jan 2019. First thing which gave me relief was that Rasayana therapy was oral therapy. Rasayana therapy was started with a lot of faith and prayers. The medicines were to be taken with honey and she enjoyed the taste of honey. Giving medicines was easy to handle and that was a major pressure off our back.

We visited oncologist for regular follow up visit in Sep 2019. CT scan was showed a decrease in size of tumor but blood vessels were still not completely visible. That means that the tumor was still encasing the blood vessels. We continued treatment for the next one year. The ultrasound of August 2020 showed no lesion at previous site and the blood vessels were also seen clearly. Lesions in liver were also absent in this scan. This had indicated complete tumor response only with Rasayana therapy.
