Cancer Survivors benefited By Rasayana Therapy

Cervical Cancer

I am a 53 year old homemaker and was diagnosed with cancer of the cervix in Jun 2016. As a treatment protocol, I had completed radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and even brachytherapy. The experience of undergoing conventional treatment was very uncomfortable for me. But I completed the entire treatment hoping the cancer lesion to disappear. But PET scan showed new multiple lesions had developed in both lungs. My oncologist said it is a resistant case and will require a second line of chemotherapy. They said, the expected lifespan was very limited. It was a nightmare for me. First being diagnosed with cancer and second, being diagnosed with resistant cancer. I was completely shattered. It was depressing and I had lost all the hopes. My physician referred me to Rasayu Cancer Clinic. I visited the clinic in Dec 2016.

I met Dr.Bendale. He explained my condition to me. He also explained the importance of how to live with cancer. Size of the tumor does not matter. He said the most important thing was that it should not stop me from living life I feel like. He also asked me to stop brooding about the tumor. The entire session of the consultation was a turning point in my life. It changed my view to look at cancer. I decided to start Rasayana therapy alone with the objective of improving as well as maintaining my quality of life.

My initial complaints were aversion to food and tastelessness and weight loss. These two symptoms were bothering me badly. Within a few weeks of starting Rasayana therapy, the taste in the mouth returned and I felt like eating. My weight too started increasing steadily. My first post-treatment PET scan (July 2017) indicated no new growth and no further growth in previously noted lung lesions. I continued Rasayana therapy further. My disease was stable until March 2019. PET scan of March 2019 indicated new lesions in the lungs again but there were no symptoms. I continued Rasayana therapy. My next PET scan (Oct 2019) showed significant regression in tumor size. Indeed, it wasbest news for my family members since a long time. But for me, this wasn’t news because I had stopped thinking about cancer inside me since past 4 years.

Now I am fully active and able to do all activities of daily living. I am busy playing with my grandchildren. Even, a pandemic of COVID doesn’t stop me from doing things I like. My friends did advise me to be extra cautious during the COVID-19 pandemic as I have lung pathology. But during the entire period, I never experienced any difficulty. I believe this is due to my approach toward cancer and the strength that I draw from Rasayana therapy. I was not hospitalized for a single day since the day I went on Rasayana Therapy.

Thank you Rasayu for teaching me how to live, with and without cancer!!
