Pranayama is derived from two Sanskrit words – Prana (Life force / Energy) and Ayama (Elongation / Control). It is elongation of Pranic energy. Pranayama is regulation of the flow of life force. Control of breath is Pranayama. ‘Prana’ is an energy or life force that is universal in nature which is omnipresent. The goal of Pranayama is to increase Prana so that it can reach out to the “hidden” recesses of the brain. This helps in expanding the human capabilities and hindering degeneration. Proper use of this free source of energy can make significant changes to our health, vigour and self-confidence. At Rasayu we recommend various types of Pranayamas.

  • By pranayama practice all body organs gets more oxygen, toxins are removed from body, thus helps in prevention of various diseases.

Counselling is the provision of professional assistance and guidance in resolving personal or psychological problems. Fighting with cancer involves more than simply treating the tumor. Patient’s state of mind is very important. During counselling sessions, we try to resolve conflicts (Physical, Psychological, Social and Financial) that patient faces so that they are able to fight the disease in a better manner.

Process in counselling :

  • Exploring and identifying the concerns.
  • Understanding these concerns in relation to them, how they think and feel and there life history.
  • Taking action with regard to the concerns, or learning to live with them in a different way.

In such conditions apart from medicines assurance has a greater impact. At Rasayu we try to address following issues during counselling :

How to Cope with Reactions to Cancer :

  • Fear of cancer.
  • Changes within the body.
  • Anxiety about the treatment.
  • Fear of it recurring.
  • Feeling of guilt.
  • Adapting to side effects (e.g. Loss of appetite, Fatigue, hair loss).

Address Family Issues like :

  • Relationship with the family.
  • How the family can be supportive?
  • Talking with the children.
  • Helping children cope with changes/fears.
  • Intimacy and sexuality.

Explore Personal Issues :

  • Assess relationships, career or leisure pursuits.
  • Clarify values, goals and priorities.
